The University at Albany Great Danes are the defending America East men's basketball champions. What they are not, however, is a hot ticket, averaging home crowds of nearly 2,000 below capacity. That's not stopping some glorious troll on Stubhub from trying to sell tickets to their games for $103.99 each.
Here is a list of upcoming Albany basketball games on Stubhub, with ticket resale prices listed on the right side.
Well, that's weird. I wouldn't picture tickets to a basketball game at SEFCU Arena to be the same value as a trip to Madison Square Garden. I'm sure these are really good seats, though, right? Nope.
As tempting as ten UAlbany Great Danes basketball tickets for the low, low price of $1039.90 sound there clearly doesn't exist a human willing to make such an outrageously ridiculous purchase. Even ignoring the less than marquee talent on the floor (the team squeaked out a one point win in two overtimes over fellow America East powerhouse, the 5-11 UMBC Retrievers), this is especially true when, again, the building is barely half full on average.
For the record, those same seats can be purchased for roughly ten bucks through the school itself, and can almost certainly be bought the night of the game, in case you're ever in the Albany, New York area.
